Beautiful Reef, but Needs Snorkeling "Rules" in Chinese!

As in many other places in the Philippines, the word “sanctuary” is more about marketing than preservation. That said, the coral here is very beautiful, and collection of fish varied. I particularly liked the large number clownfish, a black banded sea krait (snake), and many different starfish. The reef is cavernous, which creates many cool places for sea creatures to... More

I went 2 hours before high tide and was amazed by the number and diversity of corals and fish that I saw. Before I knew it I'd been exploring for 1.5-2 hours! The sea is very shallow so we were able to see everything so close up but this also meant we had to be very careful not to kick... More

Excellent snorkelling with lots of fish and coral. Not very deep. If you're not staying at the hotel, you have to pay 400 pesos which is redeemable at the hotel restaurant.

To find this Marine Sanctuary you have to go inside Coco Grove, even if you`re not staying in this resort, and then just pay 50 peso and enjoy some good snorkeling. Good to see Corals, and even Fish You have to check for the time of High tide, coz during Low tide, it s not much good to swim. You... More

Since we stayed in Coco Grove, we had the chance to kayak for free. We were very careful not to tip over because even from the kayak, we could already see the marine life through the very clear water of Tubod Marine Sanctuary, and you could see plenty of sea urchins! Would definitely recommend a kayak over this sanctuary. It's... More

Love this place. Always see loads of fish although it's tricycle to get into as it's "tied" to Coco Grove beach resort. Great well maintained sanctuary

Just in front of Coco Grove Beach Resort. Marine life abounds. Don't need to snorkel far to enjoy the underwater sea life. Clams, clown-fish, parrot fish, angel fish. There are, however, sea urchins during the summer.

Pleasant enough white sand beach. It costs 50 pesos to snorkel here. This helps support the upkeep of the sanctuary. There is some nice coral not too far off shore. A fair amount of fish life too. Saw a few parrotfish, triggerfish and so on. Nice place to spend a lazy day.

We were disappointed with Salagdoong beach so when the multicab drive brought us here, it felt like paradise. This beach wasn't highlighted in the tour map given. We also didn't stay in Coco Grove so we had no idea this existed. That have played a big part on the surprise factor. Here we chilled out, had our buko fix and... More
