Very remote site only accessible by boat with crocodiles en route. I was very tired after a long & uncomfortable drive from Flores so didn't see the whole place but enjoyed sitting quietly on my own watching monkey acrobatics.

If you get the chance to go, seize it with both hands! I did a tour from Flores (loved it) to Caye Caulker (meh) and visited Yaxchilan and Bonampak as well as having a night at an indigenous Mayan camp. Arriving by boat on the...More

This could be a full day trip on its own. But you could do it in the morning an then combine with a rafting experience in Lacanja river. There are very good options. Yaxchilan offers the charming of a 30m boat ride, jungle, impressive trees...More
