A beautuful beach. Not an extensive area of sand but the water is just gorgeous and warm, so easy to stay in the water all day. Also fun to walk up to the lighthouse or to the cliffs on the other side of the cove.

This place is named appropriately. The direct translation is “dirty beach”. The reason it’s named that is because one major side leading up to the beach, is a salt flat with a tremendous amount of garbage and rot. The beach and water itself is gorgeous...More

It took a long time to get there. It wasn't that easy to find but once there it was one of the finest beach experiences we've ever had. There are no buildings or anything there so be prepared. There is some kind of a ranger...More

Beautiful beach, but full of literally starving cats everywhere you look. Meowing pitifully for food to anyone and everyone on the beach. Was there chaperoning a high school trip and kids were pretty upset by this to say the least.

Rough road and impossible to reach by foot if you have any type of difficulty walking. The parking was too far from the beach so we didn't stay in the end.

Didn't realize this was Playa Sucia when we arrived as the sign on the beach says something else...but boy is this a stunning beach!

If you plan on going here take a picnic basket, blanket and just relax. Due to the time of year my wife and I went it was very slow with minimal crowds. Such a great place for pictures and swimming and lying on the sand....More

Do plan for a day on the beach before going here because it is absolutely nothing to be bought here in the far end of the national park. Car is a must and the road is in a condition much worse than worse (!) so...More

Not sure the time it closes. It's a public beach, you don't pay to enter beach or light house. No staff on duty.

La Playuela and Playa Sucia are the same beach. The lighthouse is steps away from that same beach. Hope you enjoy Puerto Rico.
