Built in 1784 this is the Town Hall. From the formal 1st floor meeting room there is a great view along the length of the Largo de Senado and Largo de Sao Domingos

Lots of tourists. Streets lined with small shops, many offering tastes of cookies, meat and candy. Worth walking one way or the other.

Visit the City Hall and the City Council Chambers. Restrooms are here along with civic garden. There is also an art gallery as well as a souvenir store. Great "cool" rest spot!!

We visited the Leal Senado and sat in the beautiful courtyard garden. Even though it was a busy day, the courtyard was empty & it was very relaxing compared to the Largo do Senado.

It's a small alley along the Senado Square. You wouldn't even notice it or maybe you'll think that it's just a backdoor alley for those buildings.
