The view of the city is one of the best from here. Its also very interesting to see this European fortification in the middle of the city.

This fort is a really nice spot to come and hang out, especially early nightfall. There is a pretty garden with benches to relax on on one side of the Fort and a path that you can walk around the entire fort and check out the cannons and what not. During the day, you can visit the Museum of Macau,... More

The Monte Forte is located directly adjacent to the Ruins of St. Paul's making it convenient to see both in one outing (both are free to visit) . The 2 historical sites are against a busy pedestrian, shopping, cobblestone street area ~ so together these make a great half-day or day-trip in Macau. There is a taxi stand between the... More

To be fair i have visited higher and bigger forts in india, too small compared to them, people can give it a miss. It does provide a good view from the top of the city. Cleanliness of the place to be appreciated.

The fort is a short but uphill walk from the ruins of St. Paul's and worth the short journey. The walls of the castle seem complete and the series of steps, all steep, take one up to the top. The main plus of the fortress apart from the museum there, is the views over Macau which make the climb worth... More

Was at St Paul and saw escalator leading to the museum. Decided to take a look which remember there wasn't any at all. Almost 5:30pm and went up to the fort instead. Up at the top, there are many canons display around the wall and of course the beautiful view of Macau.

If you're interested in learning about some of Macau's history, then this is a good place to visit. You can have a good walk around the grounds and then snap a scenic shot of the city.

We spent a leisurely afternoon up here enjoying a panoramic view of Macao. It is located just next to St Paul's ruins and above the excellent Macao Museum.

This fort is next to the ruins of St Pauls and is really worth the short walk. There are a few steps so it might not be appropriate for the infirm. The views from the top are great, you see both the old and the new Macau.

Spend about 30 minutes having a look at the fort. There is no cost to enter and you can get a good view of Macau Island, as well as the historic Old Town and St Paul's ruins. There is the Museum of Macau in the middle. The fort is a 5 minute walk to St Paul's and the Old Town.
