We had a bad day there. We went & saw none of the elephants. saw other few animals. But this is famous for elephants. So before you go check whether you can see them. we have Kaudulla & Eco park around. Check with the Jeep drivers what is the best place to see them at the time you go.

I have done safaris before in Africa. I was going to skip this one but then decided to do it. All we saw were elephants, many of them and babies which I had not seen before on safari. There were many jeeps but the elephants seem unbothered and doing their own thing. Only thing that sucked was the long 20min... More

My wife and I had a two hour tour through the national park starting a little after 3:30 in the afternoon to avoid the heat and to see more animals. As already described here we saw a lot of elefants (luckily one tusker), crocodiles, water buffaloes, pelikans, storks and a peafowl. We both enjoyed the trip very much. Strong recommended:... More

If you want to see elephants this is a place for you. On our visit we saw a group of 54, young and old. Looking out toward the lake and viewing the elephants was amazing. When one turned around in the jeep, however, and looked up and down the dirt path and saw the long line of the jeeps, that... More

We have craved to see the elephants in the wild and we did it. Despite the heavy rain we managed to see around 20 elephants (several family groups), lots of birds, buffalos, and a fox :) Our driver was so professional and he truly respects the nature and the animals. So when one of the other jeeps approached a group... More

We had an enjoyable safari in this park, iIt was a nice way to spend the afternoon. We saw about 30 elephants. However, our best sighting was actually at the side of the road on our way home. We have been on many African game drives and would rate those experiences as far superior. Minneriya has quite a few elephants... More
