Good sightseeing in Pahalgam

Its on of the sightseeing that tourists visit in Pahalgam. Its 10-12 Km from city. I found snow here in april mid.

We visited this place in April 2017, costed us 1300 by cab from Pahalgam Market (Betaab valley and Chandanwari). It was full of snow when we went. Unless you plan on going too high up into the mountain, you do not require boots; just our normal shoes would do - that's what the sledge pullers wear - they give more... More

17 April we went there and after that place road is closed due to snow, so ypu can imagine the volume of snow. Everywhere snow is there with some activity like sledging. Onece you are there, you forget the outerworld. We enjoyed a lot

When we went there in middle of April, the path was not totally open. So, we were stopped at place before the actual location. Thus, before booking cab, please check if the location is really open or not.

This is the gateway to Amarnath yatra. This is last point view go through vechile. Place to full of ice. Beautiful place.

Even in the month of May we found pretty good layer of snow, temperature was not harsh ecen, good place to walk around , few shops are located close by from where you can avail equipments on hire.

We proceeded towards Chandanwari from Pahalgam on 8 April after visiting Betaab valley on the way. Due to heavy snowfall, the road was blocked a few kilometres from Chandanwari. So our morning started with the trip to Betaab Valley which got its name from the Film “Betaab” which was shot there ,which was beautiful and its serene surroundings enchanted us . At the time of the year We reached their roads was closed due to heavy snow fall so we were unable to reach till end where steps for amarnath cave are starting but you can enjoy the view and serenity of this place ...awesome place must go there
