Try the Monster Scooters in Biberwier, Austria for a thrilling ride. More fun than the luge. Biberwier trail is gravel which is much better than paved trails at other places. Chairlift up (two levels) plus ride down takes about one hour. We took our three teenagers and this was a highlight of the 10-day trip. Better for kids than visiting castles, walled cities, old town squares, museums. Cost for 2 hours is a better value than 1 hour

It's a very pleasant ride up the Grubigstein, cablecar people being very friendly and welcoming, accepting our dog without any fuss and making the day a really memorable one. Easy transport, magnificent views, pleasant walks up and down the hill. Highly recommended.

We decided very short term to have a long weekend Skiing with the family and decided to go to Lermoos.
Overall prices, service is good and people at the ski stations are very friendly. Although the overall ski area is not big the variation of slopes is very good.
So if you go skiing for a long weekend I can really advice to go. Also they have some nice views as well.

The employees are very disinterested. They simply leave customers standing there. They don't give any information and prefer to use their mobile phones. There is no real supervision of the cable car. When customers ask questions, they are pedantic and arrogant. I would even say insulting. Of course, this will be an isolated case (why is that supposed to be better?.?). I can only advise against using the cable car in Biberwier. This shows that full employment in Tyrol is actually disadvantageous for (properly) paying customers. There are simply no alternatives and the employees can behave as they please. Definitely not a recommendation. The monopoly position in the area doesn't make things any better. But everyone can decide for themselves. It is a shame, however, that customers have no opportunity to complain. This was met with a disparaging hand gesture and retreat into the building. No conversation possible. But making fun of the customer was still acceptable.

A must try, if you are in the area. Take the lifts up to Zügspitze Germanys highest mountain nearly 3.000 meters. In the skiing season it's a must to get to the huge skiing area, in the outer season try it anyway, quite funny to sitting in a restaurant in the town in the sun, and then after 20 minutes you can have a snowball fight with your friends at the top of Zügspitze. Fantastic and I mean fantastic view.

After going down the Zugspitze on the Austrian side, I took a taxi to Lermoos and then called it back when I finished. I asked the driver for a point where I can enjoy scenery and do some hiking before I call him back, and he drove me to this location. Excellent location to have other ski lifts or start hikes.

The Langes Bergbahnen are a great start for a couple of hikes. At the end of the gondel you can choice to continue by seatlift or hike up to the Grubighutte.
From there again the possibility to continue by seatlift or hike further. Grubighutte is a good start to have an easy hike to Wolfsrathauser Hutte
