Pretty beach, best in the afternoon. The beach itself is narrow and slopes abruptly to the sea. A bit too rough for snorkeling but swimming is OK. Other beaches like Rockley Beach, closer to Bridgetown, have more amenities

I must tell you that this beach offers great activity, lots of sand for tanning and is close to the night life of Christ Church. Wardens close it off at night though, so get all your fun in before the sun goes down.

Parking is a bit tight! There are lots of store/stalls packed into this space. Food and drink shops, local cuisine and regular beach food, hamburgers, fries etc. Water sports and chairs and umbrellas available. Lifeguards and NCC wardens on duty.

Lovely clean beach. On a claim day the sea is very sedate but if the wind picked up so does the current. Sun beds are available for hire and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in st Lawerance gap to enjoy

Forget paying to swim with turtles grab yourself a snorkel and swim less than 10 meters from the beech and there is an abundance of them just relaxing in the waves. Southern palms hotel has by far the best beech in Barbados simply beautiful.

We walked in the evening as the sun set. Had an adult beverage and dinner in one of the many bars and restaurants along the way. I like this area of Barbados, not that expensive and has a boatload of places along the Gap.

We have been October,January and june and found it to be ok. Try beach near butterfly hotel always empty. Als rotis next door are fab. Miami beach is also quiet with fast foods nearby and turtle watching from the hill. Enjoy
