The place as the name speaks is in a natural cave of limestone. The place offers a free tour with audio/video guide on the different stages of wine processing. Though on our day of vidit some sections were restricted, but we still had a great experience in their wine cellars. The entire tour took us 30-40 minutes. After the wine tour,... More

We stopped off here as part of a bike ride from Amboise. They were fine with us only buying one bottle (a shame but all we could carry back). The mini, self guided tour was worthwhile, despite initial mocking from my husband! We were given a list of wines to choose from and could taste, I assume, as many as... More

Not often you get anything for free but this audio tour was perfect in detail and length for us and our daughters (8&4). Lovely lady explained wine and gave tasters. Wine amazing!

With a week in Amboise there are many opportunities to visit wineries. There are a numer of choices in Montlouis with this being our favorite. The short tour with headsets is nice and the opportunity to taste wine excellent. It was amongst our favorite wine tours, and we left with a half-dozen bottles.

A charming addition to visiting Loire Chateaux is a visit to a local winery. Tour w headsets through the hillside caves, aging caverns, bottling area & some tastings, if in luck. You'll enjoy...

An excellent tour which is very informative. The wine is excellent and the only shame is that you can't drink on site.

We spent an hour early one evening tasting the wines on offer in this cavern carved out of the cliff and covered in interesting moulds! Of course we bought the ones we liked best; the brut sparkling wine made according to the 'methode traditionelle' and the 2013 'Accord Confidentiel' that won the Gold medal at the Concours des Vins du... This location had a free audio and video self guided tour, very well done and interesting. The wine cellars carved out of the hill side are impressive.

We went there to buy wine, what a surprise that they also had a great visit to offer. And it's free! Very informative and it made our wine tasting even better!
