I came to Saariselka with little to no knowledge on how to ski. I took the opportunity to learn to ski with a ski instructor (Viktor) at the resort and this was extremely helpful as it really gave me confidence in my ability. Soon after I was skiing the advanced runs of the ski fields and I was blessed to... More

It's a must to reserve a coach if you want to learn ski. Not a very good choices for beginners as I felt I didn't learn anything from the coach as she/he don't speak in English.

There weren't too many runs at this ski resort but I think should be sufficient for amateur to mid-level skiers and snowboarders. The rental equipment is kept in good condition also. You may rent a small locker for extra charge.

We visited in the end of March-beginning of April 2016 for some snow fun. This was the first time our son skied on snow for the first time and the size of the slopes was perfect for that! He even managed the 'black' bits... And there was plenty of space on the slopes; no queues for the lifts! Ski shop... More

A short stroll from our hotel the Saariselka Ski Resort provided a novice skier with a brilliant setting to learn this great sport. The ski shop was very helpful with all the staff speaking English making it easy to book a lesson, purchase lift tickets and organise hire equipment. My insturcter Tilla was very patient and did her best to... More

What a great place to ski, in Australia we are used to tow queues and poor snow, cannot say that here. We had a ski school with Tiia and she helped get a non skier going and helped me get my ski legs back. From the equipment hire team to the tow attendants we have met nothing but lovely people...
