This church is worth visiting. It is the biggest wooden church is the world. The church was painted 2009 and and all the decorations are in good condition.

History has it that the church was planned to be constructed in feet and built in meters, hence the huge size of it. On the other side, nothing on and in this church seems unseemingly oversized or ugly distorted. Quite the contrary is the case....More

once you have read A. Paasillinas book "Auta armias" you have to visit this very unique church. impressive wooden construction for 3.000 People in a small village. During summertime there are concerts, Chorus Festivals worthwile to see and to listen to. Wonderful area around and...More

Beautiful old wooden church that worth to drop by this quite town . It was the largest wooden church in Finland. Located 5-10min walk at the main town.

Why do you build the world's largest wooden church, and Finland's largest over all, in a small country town? Probably because you can! It's an impressive building and I'm very glad we came here, though it's a bit surreal.

A very beautiful building and also the largest wooden church is located in Kerimäki in Eastern Finland. It's located only some 20 km south east from Savonlinna. Kerimäki itself is a small village in a beautiful lake area. You can eat well local tasteful food...More

Kirkkoon on helppo löytää opasteiden avulla, todella vaikuttava puukirkko, jossa edelleen kynttilävalaistus ja puulämmitys. Hienosti kunnostettu! Easy to find with signs, large beatiful wooden church where is candle lights and no electricity
