One of the very famous fort walls that is seen when depicting the heritage of India. If you have taken an auto to get to the fort three wheelers are not allowed into the fort, you can hire a cab at the main gates. Its a huge fort which is mostl in ruins and not all that well maintained. The... More

A great fort at a great height. Going to fort and coming back 🔙 to city is such a headache. Communication between Station ups and downs must be very good. But the fort is massive. Enjoy your vacation!!!!!!

The imposing majestic Gwalior fort always used to attract me in pictures and my fascination for it's chequered history only increased manifold after I got an opportunity to actually relive the royal historical past of valour, war, opulence, love stories, majestic architecture spread over centuries. We were transported back to many bygone eras as we moved around the sprawling fort... More

The blue colour designs on the fort walls makes it probably the fort in That category. Autos and cabs are available from gwalior railway station. There are many temples inside the fort along with a sikh gurudwara. There is also a museum and an old palace just after the main entrance of the fort.

Apart of the heat this is a good place to visit. Can gather lot of knowledge and enjoy wide view of the city.

The fort had its own romantic and war history with different architectural elements to get amazed! The fort can be visited in the morning and evening hours as afternoons can get very hot in summers (who doesn't love winters). Be sure to carry a bottle of water as you can get dehydrated while visiting the whole area. Stay safe.

The entire fort is maintained quite well and has all the element people go looking for when they go to see a fort. A large part of the fort is closed off which are the upper floors due to safety reasons and the equipment reasons for the light and sound show. The fort does not take very long to see,... More
