Good place for a walk and discover crosses from different countries. Here you can buy some souvenirs and your own cross. Cross can be placed among others in any place.

Are the crosses illuminated at night? We are planning a trip and pass the Hill of Crosses at twilight. Is it still worth seeing?

Andreas: There's no direct lighting, only tower lamps at the visitor center. There is, however, a paved/wooden path through the middle, but no handrails. Be careful even in the day. Someone bumped against me and neuropathy... More

The bus stop is at the intersection just southwest of the hill. Maybe 800 yard walk.If you don't have a car then the bus is best. It's cheap and easy to get to the hill with.
