We took our 2 young children to the penguin parade and although it can be a long wait for kids at night, when they saw the penguins it was just magical. And, getting to see them waddle to their burrows and seeing them so close was amazing!

I personally love penguins so this was the highlight of the trip! We got the general viewing and arrived a good hour prior to the parade. It's best to sit on the right side of the two stands. Then either the most left( below watch tower) or most right, not the middle as penguins don't come up from there. There... More

We were on Phillip Island recently and did the Penguin Parade in the mid-range seating area which was perfect for what we wanted to see and do. There are so many reviews on this so far that this one will just be repeating others sentiments so I will keep it brief. We thought it was great, had a good view... More

The penguins are cute. Photos are not allowed, but some guys who still manage to take photos. We got penguin plus, but stil,l to get a descent seat, we had to sit for 1 hour in a wind. I though we would catch cold, but apparently Australian wind is no that severe :) Kinds liked it.

It was very interesting to see penguins coming out of the sea and going back to their homes; it is definitely something worth seeing. You are not allowed to take pictures though, which is a shame, as it be something spectacular. Granted, the low light conditions make taking a picture very difficult, but with a proper cameera you can attempt... More

We chose the new option of 'Penguin Plus', which promised a close up, more intimate experience (only 300 people as opposed to 3000). At double the price of the open area it was definitely not worthwhile. Although people were told not to stand, the 3 rangers in attendance didn't help people who arrived last to find seating. The staff gave... More

I was a little weary of this prior to going on the trip as I read some of the negative reviews some people wrote. However, I'm glad that I went with the majority who really enjoyed it as it was an amazing experience! There are multiple grades of tickets to purchase for this, but we opted to go with General... Definitely a nice experience... Included in a 4 park pass, I would say that the cost is not SO high... I've done the experience in a rainy but not so cold day, so, it was uncomfortable but ... correctly equipped, the experience is OK. By the same... I was pleasantly surprised : not SO MANY people as you can read...... More

We went on the ranger guided tour at the penguin parade, which was excellent. Our ranger knew so much about the penguins and had obviously been working with them for many years. We had brilliant seats, and with our binoculars could see the penguins really clearly as they came in from the sea. Not being able to take photos is... More
