Heart of the town
Mar 2019
On Sunday the square was full of people and lively. It's quite long but not very wide. Nice buildingsaround. Many restaurants and cafes - no surprise here. Perfect place for a stroll and a meal. And after the meal you'll also find cafes serving famous dessert - tartufo di Pizzo.

stunning
Oct 2019
Came here on a 2 day trips with the hotel we were staying at - its a beautiful place with a small beach and break-water. Loads of coffee and gelateria shops and some places to get some shopping items.

Well worth a visit but not somewhere to spend all day as there isnt 'a lot' there.

Its very hilly - so take your time and dress accordingly!

The heart of Pizzo
Oct 2019 • Couples
This was our first stop when visiting a Pizzo. Great views of the water. Lots of restaurants and gelato places. Just sit back and people watch.

We went on a Sunday and arrived at the end of a big production at the Murat Castle that the Piazza surrounds, it was packed. As a result, parking and driving through the ancient streets was a challenge, but doable.

We came for the Tartufo Gelato and we were not disappointed, the best.

Pretty church on the north side of the Piazza, with two unexploded aerial bombs from WW2 in the back of the church.

The Centre of lovely Pizzo!
Aug 2018 • Couples
A traditional Italian piazza, but with a magnificent view over the beach and bay on one side.
Try to get there for sunset, then enjoy a tartuffo (invented here), and watch the lovely yellow lights come on.Then sit back and watch the passiangata.
This is authentic Italy!

Central Pizzo square
Jul 2017 • Family
Located above in the upper part of town this is a melting point in Pizzo for both, tourists and locals. It's a very cute little square with few restaurants, gelatos and cafes. A nice small church also. From the terrace there's a great view of Murat castle and the sea beyond.
During daytime heat pretty deserted, but full in the evenings.

sunset on the sqare!!
Aug 2017
one of the most fascinating place to enjoy an amazing sunset over the see with the Gioacchino Murat's Castle on the back. I truly recommend this place by giving the tip to take a nice truffle ice cream to accomplish the experience!
