If you find yourself in Pizzo, this is a must see. The church has an interesting history and the carvings are amazing. The beach views in Pizzo are beautiful too.

This is a small cave chirch on the beach of Pizzo. I was fascinated to see years of hard work behind the beautiful carved stones. A very interesting story was to read about the grounding of that place of reflection. After that we visited the beach. For an August day, it was surprisingly calm. An unique experience.

Quite a place to see all the carvings in a cave at the beach. A long staircase down leads to this fascinating display. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

This church doesn't look very impressive from the outside but inside it's a real gem! First it's bigger than we thought. It has many "alcoves" with different themes. Some of them presented marvelous scenes from numerous sculptures, only natural light carving them from the darkness.. go and you'll see! The entrance fee is a couple euros.

An unusual chapel built into a cave right on the sea - well worth all those steps to get there. The views of the Tyrrhenian Sea from the steps and the chapel are wonderful.

This amazing chapel is built in a cave. Full of religious statues carved out of stone from the rocks. As a result of a shipwreck. Quite a few steps to reach the chapel, but well worth it.
