During the summer months, visiting Cyprus Lake, in particular the Grotto and Indian Head Cove can leave some visitors feeling frustrated and confused if they are denied access to these sites. As a result of the increasing popularity of these attractions, the entrance way and parking to access these areas are at times complex. Additionally, the rocky terrain along the coastline and access to the Grotto can be challenging for some. Please visit the park website for more detailed information on the Grotto, what to expect, and other attractions in the park and surrounding area if you're unable to access the Grotto. Additionally, visitors should make the Parks Canada Visitor Center in Tobermory their first stop so they can plan their stay and get up to date information on parking and other visitor activities.

Stunning view looking out onto Georgian bay. The water is extremely clear and blue. There are a few downsides to the Grotto, there are no sandy beaches and the water is very, very chilly. However, I would still recommend a hike around the Grotto and to still have a dip in the lake!

Myself and 9 friends rented a cottage in Lion's Head last year and took the 1 hr drive up to Tobermory nation park and spent the entire day there. We brought our dogs for the hike as well. The park was extremely busy! We thought we got there early enough (11am) but there was already a line to get into... More

It was a nice surprise to visit this beautiful piece of my country. I had no idea that we had a grotto. The water here looks comparable to that of the ocean. Cannot wait to return!

Crystal clear water. There is no sand. It's all rock bed. The water goes from shallow to a gradual depth of a few feet, but my kids (5 and 7) could manage. Much deeper parts are around the outside edges of the grotto where kids jump from the rock face into deep holes. It's quite a hike from the nearest... More

The hike there can be quite long depending on where you park. It was super busy but the Grotto was worth it. I recommend jumping from the cliff! (Not too high up though!) It is nice to bring your dog there but keep an eye out for the odd rattle snake, keep your dog on a leash to be safe.

This is a part of Bruce peninsula National park-which in itself is worth the visit!! It can get bust and the hike is somewhat long, so be prepared.

Went for an afternoon hike down to the Grotto and along the cliffs of Georgian Bay. The water is beautiful. We were there in mid July, so it was quite busy with people. The hiking is moderate but requires good footwear. Love the scenery.

The views were beautiful. The water was freezing even though it was warm outside. It's a great experience though don't miss it. Lots of people

Being here in the sunshine really added to the experience but the views were amazing. You need to be carefully footed to ensure you don't trip but i wouldn't say it would put people off

Beautiful water and fascinating cliffs. Pretty crowded but well worth the hike to experience it. Lots of people swimming.
