Overview
More
Our extremely unique and modern glass bottom vessels depart Tobermory on a regular schedule. Our tours operate during the spring, summer, and fall! Passengers are given an opportunity to view two 19th century shipwrecks, The Sweepstakes and The City of Grand Rapids, resting just a few feet below the surface. Following the shipwreck viewing, guests will pass by Big Tub Light House (1885). From there we cruise around Flowerpot Island passengers for a view of the magical scenery. This scenery includes the historic Flowerpot Light station, the light keeper’s homes, the Flowerpot rock formations and more. If you are planning to hike the island, we dock at Beachy Cove to allow allow passengers to disembark and explore the island on foot for a couple of hours. Stay Aboard cruises are also available.

Took the Explorer to Flowerpot with family during the week. The boat was excellent, clean and well maintained. The crew interacted with the passengers and made sure we were comfortable as it was a chilly day that day. Much better cruise than the other operators...More

We took this tour and loved it! Seeing the underwater shipwrecks through the glass bottom was fascinating, though kind of eerie!! The weather wasn't great, so the boat wasn't full. If it had been full, not everyone on board would be able to view through...More

It's a small world! What a neat connection you made while you were on board! Our smallest vessel has a 4' x 7' glass panel. Our 50 passenger vessel has a 4' x 8' glass panel while our 75 passenger vessel has a 6' x...More

First class operation, friendly staff, lots of parking, clean transportation, and first class boat. The tour offers a lot of history and the staff happily answered any questions anyone had. Sadly we expected more shipwrecks as you only really see one and see the other...More

Thank you for commenting on the operation itself. We appreciate that! The Sweepstakes and The City of Grand Rapids, the two wrecks that you saw during your cruise, are the feature wrecks that our glass bottom boat tour guests experience. Guests can view these wrecks...More

Great cruise. I took my elderly parents and they enjoyed it. Because we spent the night at the motel, we were able to park there, which was right across the road and very convenient.

Typically booking the day before is a great idea. If you can book earlier, please try to do so. We would love for you to have first choice of the cruise you would like!
