I suggest if you are planning to come to toyako. U need to drive. Apart from a very nice scenery, this place doesn't have much thing to do. The food is pretty average to me. If you are living in country like nz zealand, this is not a place that will attract the most as nz has already got places... More

This hot spring is approx 21 miles from Niseko and one of the best onsen to visit. The hotel has fantastic views overlooking the lake. Inside there are numerous different pools but the best is the infinity pool with panoramic views across the lake. I went with a bunch of Western girlfriends and I love the way the Japanese ladies... Go for 2 days stay instead of 1. It will be more relaxing. Explore the lake walk slowly. The Onsen for The Lake View New Toya Hotel is located on the rooftop and open air. It's views are awesome.

Lake Toya is an Onsen town destination with most hotels also operating at Noboriibetsu. It's a small one street small town. Activities include cruising around the lake both in the day and at night for Fireworks Cruise. We were told fireworks display on Friday but on the Thursday that we checked in there was fireworks on Thursday - not sure... More

I had a half day to enjoy japanese hot spring in this area. walk around 1km, i went to one of hotels in the area and it was really nice onsen facing great view of toya lake. plus, free flow drink with only less than JPY 1000. i will definitely back to this hotel if going to hokkaido again.

I believe hot spring is not the best attractive in this place, but the view was superb. If you take your hot spring from the lake view side, it is definitely one of the most beautiful moment in your journey.

The lakeside area of Toyako Onsen town is peaceful and a nice area to escape from the city. There isn't much to do around the lake other than a cruise around the lake and some free foot baths. Most onsens will be part of a large hotel where most tourists tend to spend their time. As long as you can... More
