The park was named Taman Jubli Perak (Silver Jubilee Park) to commemorate the 25th Years of Crowning for Sultan of Kedah, YMM Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim as the Sultan of Kedah. There are abundance of facilities managed by Sungai Petani local authority. Jogging/walking track, children playground, gym, library, cactus garden, man made pond (used to have plenty of fishes and turtles), Birds in Cages and a Food Court. Back in the old days, this was a prefect get together place for families. Nowadays, the facilities is a bit rundown with poor maintenance efforts. Teens with bikes like to use this area for their favorite hangouts, making the ambiance less attractive to families and it looks very unsafe when they are around. Unwed couples can be an eye sore sometimes. Car park is not ample, thus people park their cars by the road side especially. This area really need attention from the authority.

Not so clean, but a lot of activities for children. An artificial lake is there, but again not clean and fishes are dead.

This is the place where i always coming here to jog in this park every morning during weekends. The park consist of food court, gym rakyat, library, playing grounds for children, pond of turtles, cactus garden and some species of bird. Just remember, how the park already changed a lot since my childhood day. Many big tree already be cut down, and the pond not be maintained.

During morning and evening, you can see local resident jogging around here. The place for you to spend time with family and friends.

Local park with a playground to boot which allows reasonable attraction for all to enjoy. The parks walking track beside the playground allows for further exploration of the interior.

Fun and happening on weekends if you don't mind hot sun.

Put on your sports attire including sports shoes and you can enjoy Taman Jubli and its attractions.

Jogging track is available and it is not challenging, so it is suitable for everyone including children.

A pond where you can feed the fish. My children always enjoy feeding bread to the fish such as tilapia and catfish.

Bird and deer cages. You can see birds in tall cages built around a big tree. Children will love this.

On weekends there are people renting bubble making instrument and children love this.

Ice cream and fried food vendors are also available in the evening. If you worry about hygiene, avoid buying from these vendors.

There are simple shops selling food. Beware of low quality food and if your stomach is weak, order bottled drinks, and eat elsewhere.

Came here to jog. Facilities are poorly maintained except the outdoor gym equipment that looks new. There is also a deer enclosures, they looked lovely but stinks.

Eateries around the area but not a single toilet available for use.

Jubli Park
I went there with my 2 little kids for a walk around 3pm on a week day, Thursday.
Little bit quiet as usual but my 2 little kids really enjoy it with the play amusable equipments. We just only spent 1.30hrs due to drizzling.
Points need to be taken here ; some of the equipment need a proper upkeep maintenance otherwise some kids will be getting hurt.#mpsgk .(see attached photos )
Definitely will come again for the others showcase like the turtle/ fish pond ; bird cage etc.
However, the surrounding lack of rubbish trash bins. Perhaps the local Town council should be more prudent to collect the trash( overflow trash see photo)

This is not so much a tourist attraction but a place for locals to exercise. There's some deer and a playground too but it's not well maintained.
