This place is well worth the visit. The lighthouse, foghorn building and other buildings are open to the public and have many items and historical notes in them. It is a long way from anywhere, but just follow the signs. Make a day of it...More

The lighthouse is slowly deteriorating, so do leave the requested modest $5 for its upkeep. Historic location and beautiful views. The bits of history were interesting - a dangerous magnetic reef offshore surely every sailor's nightmare so great to have a light.

It was nice to spend one of the afternoons while in the area to explore the lighthouse. To get there you can either drive or take a 6 km hike on gravel road. Lighthouse has a picnic area, guest house in case you need to...More

Every year we are drawn back to this unusual and very special place. Every year we meet new and very interesting people. This year Mark, Elizabeth and I journeyed over to Cockburn Island in search of Puddin' Rocks, deer tracks and deserted cabins. We found...More

Maddie was very warm to us and helpful with things to do in the island. The view is amazing at the water. I don't have little kids swim as ride is strong but we loved it.

We camped at this quaint spot for 2 nights. The sites are all nice and the views around the place are fantastic! I loved swimming at the private beach and hanging out on the rocks. Maddie, who runs the place is awesome!

On the long drive in to the Mississagi Lighthouse, on a rough gravel road, I started to worry I had taken a wrong turn when Google Maps told me I was actually somewhere deep in the bush and not on a road at all. Nevertheless...More

We were staying in Elizabeth bay and combined a trip to the lighthouse with lunch in Meldrum bay. Not sure about the camp ground, but the lighthouse was a gem. Felt like I was back in time. Worth a day visit for sure.

A bit out of the way but well worth a visit. You are free to wander round the lighthouse and imagine what it would have been like living there. The foghorn in the adjacent building was also interesting to see.
