Yila Grassland is next to Napa Hai Lake. During summer and rainy season, the grassland shrinks and the lake becomes larger and vice versa. We went during summer time in June, despite raining frequently, the view's magnificent.

Yaks, Birds, horses, black pigs end so on. Very nice landscape. The grassland is surrounded by mountains so the most of the local people are still in traditional closes.

I rented a bicycle and rode along the fast grasslands. Really relaxing and interesting to see how locals live. Yaks, sheep and goats everywhere with super friendly people.

Loved this place for horseback riding. We loved it so much we did twice. People in the horse ranch are very nice. It took me a few tries to make them accept my tips.

nice scenic place for photos or even a picnic. Do be careful not to dirty the surroundings. The local are quite protective over this.

We went with Keith from Lijiang Guides and enjoyed a wonderful time going out to the grasslands, visiting a sacred hill and looking out over the grasslands, and then staying with a Tibetan family. It was something really special.
