    Relic of the past disturbed

    Needed to be remodeled and fenced to attract the necessary tourist visits and attention. The location close to the Sea is fantastic. I did not get the history behind the building whilst there apart form the terse inscription o the frontage.

    Worth a visit

    The Fort has been recently renovated in 2012. It has a museum with good information and exhibits. I took the guided tour which was very informative and cost about 10USD. It is easily accessible in the fishing village of Axim and has beautiful views out...More

    Needs Work

    Guide was pretty casual and asking for financial support. The tour could be so much more and presented more enthusiastically. The displays were interesting. Learning trip to Elmina (St. George's) might help as their guides are much better.

    Just okay

    Tour guide seemed in a hurry or not interested probably because it was just me and my husband. He seemed quite knowledgeable though

    Somber must see

    We had to search around and wait for someone to open the fort but then our guide was great. Similar to the Cape coast castles. If you're in axim, you must see this castle

    Excellent views of fishing village

    Smaller than the castles at Cape Coast and Elmina, but with a similar tragic story to tell. The fort suffers from being allowed to decay and could do with more TLC. Worth a short visit if in the area, but also walk through the village....More
