About 12 people from our cruise ship had booked with Gil Serique. Gil met us at the port and took us to his boat. We spent the day hearing great stories by Gil, seeing the meeting of the waters, the pink dolphins, the wonderful floodplain,...More

The line of the muddy Amazon and the clear blue Rio Tapajos is very prominant and goes on and on before the Amazon obliterates the line completely. Up and until the meeting of the waters, the Amazon seems not as muddy, but when compared to...More

Meeting of the Waters can be witnessed all over along the Amazon River. It is more defined before boats stir up the waters

As part of a cruise ship excursion, we sailed to the wedding of the waters and up through tributaries of the Amazon. Spotted iguanas, monkeys, sloths...even went piranha fishing! Just an amazing view into daily life in the Amazon.

In Manaus you can get other tours. You can probably get them in other ports as well. When I was there, I did not have any time to look for other excursions, otherwise I would taken some private tours. Good luck
