The most beautiful train journey Norway got to offer. The nature is so powerful and cool. If not with train , rent a car - this part of Norway is extraordinary!

This railway trip is rated as one of the best in the world for the views. We were lucky enough to miss the crowds and enjoy a quiet journey. The most beautiful scenery is seen for the first half of the journey but we went all the way to Dombas where our ticket also included a typical Norwegian meal in... More

The Rauma Railway is well known as one of the spectacular train tracks in Norway. Especially during the summer tourists enjoy the tour between Dombås, a station on the Dovre railway, and Åndalsnes which is located by the fjords and accessible by large cruise ships. But I can really recommend a trip during the fall. On this October day, the... More

The trip from Andalsnes to Dombaas on our way to Oslo gave us unimaginable exposure to mountains and sceneries. We hoped the train would stop for views, but that happens only in summer. the train staff were extremely cooperative.

Stunning views all the way! We were on part of a trip from cruise ship and had come up by coach- returning on the train. Recommend this to any and all!

We booked early on line.... to make sure we had seats that faced forward . Check if there is a restaurant car because on one leg we had to bring our own food .

As we had our own car , we drove up the valley to Verma and saw the train crossing the bridge. Well worth the short walk from the shop down to the river.

Comfortable seating, beautiful scenery, good commentary from docent on train, glad we had purchased tickets in advance, as train was fairly full. Some say this is the most scenic train ride in Europe. I don't agree with that - would give that honor to the Glacier Express that runs from Zermatt to San Moritz, Switzerland.

The Raumabanen is a railway from Dombås to Åndalsnes. The journey takes aprox. 2 hours and during the trip you'll have many beautiful views on the valleys, mountains and multiple waterfalls. Food and drinks are served on board which is very helpfull.

This rail journey takes you through some spectacular and stunning scenery as it climbs up towards Dombas, including past the famous troll wall. We stopped for 3 hours in Dombas, which unless you plan to hike around the area is too long as there is little to do in Dombas once you have visited the very pretty little church and... More
