This spot is wonderful and you must give yourself time. The setting is just beautiful and the gardens are worth walking through - every bit of it! Even on a rainy day, the gardens were lovely to view. The Abbey itself has a few rooms...More

There is great history here at the Abbey. The views are spectacular around the Abbey especially on a fine day and there are lovely walks. There are beautiful walled gardens and tea rooms, again with amazing views, which you can either walk or get a...More

Got a 10%discount from our B&B (Cornerstones) which was a bonus as we were going to visit anyway. It's a stunning spot, looking out over a beautiful valley. With a Victorian garden, the abbey and a gothic church to visit, plenty to keep you occupied...More

Kylemore Abbey and the walled gardens is the most majestic attraction one can visit in Ireland. You definitely have to get inside and visit the Abbey, the church, the gardens and walk around the forest.

I read several suggestions not to pay the entrance ticket since the beauty of this place is just watching the castle outside. I would however recommend to pay the entrance ticket, the house inside is nothing special but the short walk to the neo-gothic church...More

Visited Kylemore with our three kids. The abbey was beautiful, but a bit of a disappointment since most of the rooms are in use by the nuns and as such can't be visited. The gardens, however, were spectacular, and we learned a lot through the...More

Kylemore Abbey was one of my favorite places we visited in Ireland. The only sad part was in June there was scaffolding on some of the Abbey making the view not at pretty as usual. I highly recommend taking the garden tour if it's available....More

Visited with my own and wider family. I was initially surprised with the €13 entry fee for adults and I was disappointed you can no longer walk up to the statue on your own accord. But, we had a super afternoon and all the kids...More

We had an afternoon to spare in Galway, having spent enough time in the city. We arrived in Kylemore Abbey at about 2 p.m. It is magical. One of the best places I have ever visited. The scenery is equal to anything I have seen...More

We just got tickets when we arrived. It wasn't crowded but we were there in May. Yes, there were many visitors (even a few bus fulls) but it's spacious enough not to be crowded, except in the house. The gardens are amazing... More
