Whether you visit is inspired by myths and legend / Dan Brown or not, this is one for the bucket list. The drive up has magnificent views and some tricky corners. The village is worth exploring and the atmosphere intriguing.

Lovely little village at the top of a hill, with some shops selling crystals, and alternative artifacts. Small church, which is highly decorated and the source of a mysterious tale regarding it's priest.
Seemingly every shop in town is selling Buddhas, crystals, esoteric reading materials, incense. You get the idea. Look into the facts about Bérenger Saunière and his influence on the town. They are not nearly as interesting a Dan Brown novel.
