Great sand and no so many people

we stayed a bit on the side and it was wonderful as the beach was with beautiful sand and most of all it was empty, not crowded not loud .. you could hear the sea and really relax.

We visited in early June, before the Italian holiday season so the resort was quiet, good for older English people. The beach is south facing, with fine golden sand sandy and a good shallow area in the sea. It was warm with the onshore breeze making it very pleasant. It appeared that there was only one food shop in the... More

Tried to relax here because we were tired and in need of some sun. However the town/village is so full of illegal unregulated eyesores (including the beach bar) I just couldn't relax due to the feeling of disappointment. The final straw was the huge loud cement trucks every few second on the road just above the beach possibly on their... More

This attractive relatively small beach (perhaps 250m long but 40-50m deep) has the benefit of direct access by public transport, and is almost deserted in the early part of the day. Very gently sloping, ideal for children.

The beach here was very average. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't incredible--just a beach. Not crowded, not empty, not too many shops/restaurants nearby. We visited in October and caught the town during siesta so there wasn't much going on. The whole area is very quaint and scenic but I would hardly call this an essential site in SE... More

Quiet little town, beautiful beach in centre, great little cafe's. the perfect place to recharge your batteries. We stayed 5 days after 2 weeks travelling throughout italy and it was great to relax. Hopefully they never lose their charm and become over touristy. Friendly locals and close by to other towns. Must try caffe creme in cafe. We stayed early... More

There's really very little to do Cava D'Aglia - and that's why we liked it. We tried a few of the beaches in the area but kept coming back to the bay in the centre of the village - the water was so clean there were even fishes by the beach.
