Nothing beats swimming outdoors so why not visit Beccles Lido? The 30metre x 15metre outdoor pool, separate toddler pool and paddling pool are all heated to 27°C. There is a slide, springboard and giant-inflatable. Beccles Lido is on Puddingmoor, next to the River Waveney, with lots of grassy areas, sunloungers, tables and chairs to relax on. The cafe, with covered eating area, serves hot and cold snacks, delicious fairtrade coffee, tea and Italian hot chocolate, cold drinks and ices. Beccles Lido is the perfect place for a swim or a family day out. We also offer Canoe Hire (advance bookings only) from the Lido so you can take a paddle along the beautiful River Waveney. Or take a more relaxing river trip on Big Dog Ferry to the historic Locks Inn, Geldeston.

A lovely well maintained lido on the rivers edge. Always lovely and warm with early opening for serious swimmers. Can get crowded during school holidays.

The organisation in the pool is excellent all sectioned off for different activities and with plenty of life guards on I was very impressed. Food is lovely too with friendly staff. Have been a few times since we've discovered it.

We spent a great afternoon at the lido in the sunshine, highly recommended if you're on a boating holiday on the Broads

What a lovely outdoor pool. My 4 year old really enjoyed himself, and for a outdoor pool it was pleasantly warm enough (the little one did get cold eventually but that was more to do with him constantly getting in/out of the water and it...More

Many thanks for your review and I will certainly have a word with the LGs about being vigilant for any offensive language - and I would urge anyone who is not happy with anything at the Lido to raise this straight away with the LGs...More

It's great to find a Lido still very much up and running. The water was very clear especially considering its open air, the staff were helpful and friendly, the food reasonably priced. They had the inflatable out, there is a springboard and a slide. The...More

The Lido was warm, the price was reasonable and the staff all seemed great. We overall had a great day. The pots of humous were on the small side (enough for a dunk and a half) - but it was creamy so we can't grumble...More

Thanks for the review - as far as rules are concerned, we've tried real hard to be a pool where visitors can have fun so long as they are not being a danger to themselves or to others and/or doing anything that might cause offence....More

Yes Nigel, the main pool, toddler pool and paddle pool are all heated to 27/28C - this sounds lower than some indoor pools but in fact generally feels warmer (something to do with being outdoors) and rarely any complaints... More
