A gorgeous castle with a forest setting. It was basically a summer retreat for Czech royalty because it is in the hills and presumably cooler than Prague. It has never been overrun by invaders over the years. It can be seen from the train between Prague and Pilsen but this place warrants going inside to marvel at its layout and... More

An hour train ride from Prague, this should be on your list if you have a spare day in Prague to look around! This beautiful castle is nestled in a quaint little town and is around an hour from Prague via train. I made the train tickets booking through my hostel (Sophie's Hostel) and started my journey to this castle... More

Visited with partner and friends in November. The small town was nice and the castle views were amazing! It was a shame we couldn't go inside (only open weekends in the winter months). Would definitely recommend going in the summer. However it was a lovely visit and walk through an authentic Czech small town.

Getting into the castle includes a wonderful walk around restaurants and small shops with souvenirs. When you get to the top the castle provides stunning views. I did not really like the tour as it was very hard to follow, but the castle especially from outside was breathtaking.

A little out if the way when travelling in your own car but well worth the effort. Good tour and great castle. And best apple strudel at the cafe near the car park

This was a very beautiful castle in a charming town. We took the horse carriage up to castle, which was fun. We went on the short tour of the castle, which was a perfect length and very informative. The views from the castle are stunning.

You definitely want to take the tour to this beautiful castle. Not only is it beautiful but it is rich in history as well. The guide who took us through gave us so much information about its use back in its day and why it was untouched. Simply beautiful and well preserved.

If you have been to Versailles then skip this. There us nothing to see and the grounds are nothing to view either. The guide was great and gave a wonderful and colorful overview of the Czech history.

We were visiting Prague and wanted to see a bit more of the country. We went by train and the trip gives lovely views over the countryside. The place itself is quite touristic but the castle is lovely

Went here on 23-10 -201 6 - a guided tour from Prague and really enjoyed it. The walk up to the castle was good (though the amount of memorabilia stalls is a but disconcerting) , the view from the castle is stunning, the actual contents of the castle is a bit minimal but the building itself is great

Thank Russell G
