An off-road adventure that is so worth it. Although the road there seemed a little uncertain at times, it was by far one of the coolest places I have been/experienced. There is a natural hot spring nearby. We camped, and I recall the ground being rick solid. We couldn't get our stakes in the ground and had to use rocks... More

We finished our Laugavekur Trek and spent the next morning in the hot springs of Landmannalaugar. It felt like being in paradise. It is an experience to be lived by everyone.

Started my trek here. Very beautiful. It seems that 99% of people will come here and go back the next day so the following parts of the trek are less crowded. Either way, amazing and worth visiting.

Laugavegur is a 4 day trekking (or hike if you wish to lodge yourselves in a hut, have your back pack transferred, dine in the hut) and Fimmvorduhals is a 2 day trekking; hence, all-together 5 or 6 days. When you make side-tours, upto 2 weeks...?! you can go North > South, you can go South > North Do NOT... More

This is the most famous trekking in Iceland. We are trekkers who start early in the morning and like to do side tracks as well. Therefor we arrive at noon, put up our tent, leave our packs and do some sidetracks. The route is marked with sticks, tho I would advise having the route on your GPS as smog or... More

We didn't want to do only the most touristy things when we arrived to Iceland so we rented a car and looked Landmannalaugar up. It was by far the most amazing thing on our trip. You'll need a four wheel drive car in order to get here and the road is a bit tricky so look at the weather forecast... More

We ventured into this beautiful place for a day trip with our four kids, all under 10 years old. The bus ride from Hella was more than long enough (about 2 hours), and the last hour or more was really bumpy. But the destination was more than worth it. We were concerned to learn that it would be more than... More
