A nice enough lake but the 100k entrance fee is outrageous. Generally speaking, local/foreigner pricing tiers are understandable but needs to be kept within reason. Could do with some litter-picking.

This makes a nice trip out of town. The road from Ruteng is beautiful. It cost us $400000 for four of us to see the lake which is ridiculous for Indonesia. I would expect 10 times less! The lake is pretty but essentially nothing special....More

From the mouton you should have a nice view on the lake. However, the made a huge concrete wall. Behind the wall as could be expected is a mess of plastic and stinking garbage.
