Bilene is a gem, located only 180km north of Maputo and about 250km from the SA border, making it easily accessible. The lagoon is great for snorkelling and water sports, which a lot of people take advantage of. The bustling street market in the town...More

This place is breathtaking, I felt like we were on a private beach that never ended. The water was crystal clear and the locals were so kind.

We went there to buy food only, which was from the local market. Small and hot with expensive food on sale and some local curios. OK for 30 mins - but not every day!

Pretty beach and safe to swim but a constants treat of traders is irritating. We were also intimidated by children to pay them for parking while they were fighting with each other. Nice for restaurants but a more quite beach will be better.
