We took this shuttle bus up to the lookout on a whim--we had the time, it wasn't that expensive and we really wanted to see the view. The photos make the walkway look terrifying to me (afraid of heights) but in actuality, you don't see...More

The drive up to Stegastein can be a little bit frightening. It's a very narrow road and hard to pass regular cars let alone an RV. Once you make it to the top the spectacular and stunning views of Aurlandsfjord is totally worth it!!!

Driving the National Scenic route from Aurland to Laerdal called "the Top of the World" you reach the Stegastein viewpoint after about 15 minutes. This outstanding viewing platform ( an architectural wonder) hangs 30 meters out from the mountain walls and 650 meters up from...More

From Aurland the road to the car park is interesting. Narrow in places with a large number of hairpins. Also you are distracted by the view down to and across the fjord. Small car park next to the viewing platform I guess holds no more...More

Stunning views from this lookout. Strongly recommend making the drive up to it (some sections of the road can be very narrow and windy so take it easy!)

From Flam tourist information center - half an hour drive by bus. Beautiful (narrow) road. Half an hour on the spot, half an hour back. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day

There is a bus that can take you there and back for a fee. You can book online or purchase tickets at the Flåm Tourist Information Centre. If you've rented a car, you could also drive there yourself.
