Eat in Ladner or tsawwassen before going to the terminal. The food is good but very expensive best get MacDonald's. It's good for the kids to play but to eat expensive

The buffet is my favorite part of the sailing. I've only had good experiences on the BC Ferry. Please tell me if the 11am sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawassen serves breakfast or lunch. Thanks Jan

Hi 2angels2010, Thank you for your short review. If I'm on a vessel that offers the buffet, you'll find me shoveling as many desserts onto my plate as possible! If you are sailing on the Coastal Celebration, Spirit of Vancouver Island or the Spirit of British Columbia at 11am, we will serve lunch. We look forward to welcoming you aboard!... More

Took the ferry from Depature Bay to Horseshoe Bay. Coastal Renaissance was a nice newer boat. Lots of onboard amenities, long lines for food most of the trip. Water was calm and had a smooth ride all the way, while enjoying the sunset.

Dear KJ9000, Thank you for the review! The Coastal Renaissance is one of my favourite vessels – between the Coastal Café, the Coast Café Express, Seawest Lounge, Sitka Coffee Place and Passages Gift Shop, there really is something on board for everyone! I like the front-facing passenger lounge by the Sitka Coffee, which is unique to the Coastal Renaissance. How... More

I travel the Horseshoe to Departure Bay route Friday afternoon on the 5pm and return 6:30am on Monday back to Vancouver. Generally speaking, I think BCF does great and the staff are mostly friendly with a smile. Please fix the wifi - if your credit card POS terminal can work reliably every time, then I can't believe you cannot get... More

Travelled to and from Victoria. Was able to efficiently board 2 hours earlier than our reservation. Tried the Pacific Buffet on our trip back to Vancouver. It was excellent and great value. Everything was fresh. Salad items were very very fresh. Main courses were very good. Desserts were absolutely top notch. Overall was great value in a quiet dinning room.... More

Dear Fernieskiir, Thank you for the review! The Pacific Buffet is my personal favourite on board – where else can you get all-inclusive offerings and waterfront dining? Our aim is to have a constantly rotating menu, so you never know what to expect! I hope you had a chance to try the mini-cheesecakes; I can never have just one. :)... More

The BC Ferries website is very user friendly. BC ferries buffet and food selection is very disappointing. Rates to get on the ferry are very high then the cost of food is very pricey. The Ferry ride itself is wonderful, amazing views and scenery but the inside of the ferry smelt like a dirty diaper. seating was uncomfortable for the... More

We have taken the ferry to both Victoria and Nanaimo. In all cases the staff have been friendly and helpful. The views are terrific including islands and other ferries. This is one of the high points of our trips to BC.
