Well trimmed gardens is what welcomes you to this museum. Hosted the freedom fighters among them the first President of Kenya and five other for four months before their 7 year sentence. This was a journey to Kenya's past, learned a lot and recommend a visit to anyone out here. This was the site where the six most influential leaders in the struggle for Kenya's independence were detained (Kapenguria six).

The history of Kenya cannot be written without mentioning the Kapenguria Museum. This is where 6 of Kenya's independence heroes (Kapenguria six) were jailed. I went to the Kapenguria Museum with no knowledge of the Kapenguria Six or the Mau Mau but enjoyed the visit and learned much. It was very informative and fascinating.
