Needs to trek up the stairways so do take your time slowly move up.

Worth the visit! When u are up there , u see the clouds below you and the Buddha statue was shining brightly! Amazing views! Do Bring a zoom camera.

I booked hotel online (I had booked all the hotels myself while travelling through Chinafor 4 weeks). When we arrived to book in they showed us the worst room I have ever been in, the smell from the squat toilet was so bad. I marched back to the reception and told them I didn't book to stay in squalor. After... More

Emei mountain's Jinding is one of the mysterious places in China, full of energy. Since Jinding is situated at the hight more than 3000 meters above sea level, it's always foggy there. So, if you see Foguang (Budda's light - the reflection of the sunlights on the golden statue, which can be seen really rare), you are lucky!

This is probably the highlight of Emeishan. Great spot to take lots of photo and be blessed at this holy high land. As mentioned, even thought you are taking a cable car up to the summit, be prepared to walk quite a far bit too,

Be prepared to climb, even if the cable car route is raken. The top of the mountain has statue and several temples. Mid point are restaurants. There is toilets dotted the route. There is wifi too.

E'meishan Jinding is the most memorable part of my chengdu trip. You do not need to be buddhist to be blown away by it's beauty. The buddha statue and temple at the peak jinding was surrounded by fog and mist making it look like a paradise on earth. It is as if you have gone up to the heaven to... More

Very nice scenery, clouds, mountains and Buddha status, give you a peaceful mind and soul. It is happy to experience snowflakes falling from the tree, as it never happen in Hong Kong. Do beware of wild monkeys, they will "rob" your bags if you don't keep well.

I have been to E'meishan with my best friend. And Jinding Scenic Resort leaves me an everlasing impression. The mount top and the temples are covered with light snows, reflecting in silver. This makes it so holy my heart becomes pious.

I hiked up Emeishan from Baguo in 9.5 hours, via Wannian Temple. I started at 6:30 from the Tricky Monkey Hotel ($130 RMB single room, clean, hot showers, friendly, recommended) and followed a map I had downloaded. Most maps are works of art and do not show distances, elevation, difficulty, etc. I stayed overnight at the excellent hotel at the... More

I did not go up all the way to the summit to see the sunrise, so I might be wrong, but the Emeishan Mountain is one big tourist trap. One gets that feeling once arriving in Emeishan. Taxi drivers are waiting for you to rip you off and the whole town has a fake feeling about it. Nothing about Emei... More
