Fuhu Temple is one of the temples on Emei Mountain. There is a well kept area, in one hall there are a few hundred statues. It’s interesting to spend some time there. One one side of the temple there are a few vendors selling souvenirs. In March, I guess it is Sichuan orange season. We bought a few, they are... More

One of the temples we visited while at Emeishan. Very pretty. We paid for our rides on the electrical golf cart so we did not have to hike up here.

I loved this temple. Set in the mountains, it was picturesque and lovely. It was only perhaps 45 minutes into the hike but it's worth a stop. It's free, and the monks were warm and friendly.

Nice temple in a peaceful and quiet setting. You can walk inside the beautiful forest up the mountain or people carry you.

One of the easier places to get to. Peaceful, definitely worth a look, and not just for all the Buddhas. beautiful old architecture, just take a stroll and look around. Nice walk up and down to the site through the forest, or take a golf cart.

This is another temple at the foot of the mountain which you can visit on the first day. You may take shuttle bus ride to save your energy for the next day for climbing up to the summit.

This temple is close to Baoguo and can easily be walked to from town. There is also a bus that goes there. Be sure to go to the Hall of Ararats behind the main temple. It is one of the most interesting halls on the mountain with its statues of 500 different gods. I liked the atmosphere and environment of... More

I almost hate to spill the secret, but this is one of the few places on the mountain where you can get away from the noisy crowds and find some peace. A respectful group of Buddhist pilgrims were there when I visited. The feel of this temple was soft and contemplative. Drink a cup of tea and watch the goldfish.... More
