I went to E mei Shan with a tour group. I have enjoyed the grand size mountains, the ocean like deep gully, the misty and ever changing air, the sculptures, the steps, the buildings, temples and the huge Buddha. It is absolutely amazing.

everything is expensive from the cable car ride to the entrance ticket. the ride to the middle of the mountain is a dizzy ride and takes about 2 hours, and the bus tickets is expensive too.

For me n my friends, we took around 30-40minutes to walk from the bus drop off point to get the cable car. It's not a normal road, you have to climb up a lot of stairs... but there's a service there to bring up your parents... More

I haven't been to Machu Picchu so I don't know how difficult is it there. I an my opinion there is no breathing problem due to high altitude. Just be prepared to walk lot of stairs.
