Had been on a 2D/1N jungle trek in March. The trekking was not that difficult, but humidity makes it feel a bit tougher. However, the impressions we got were totally worth it. Saw 10+ different orangutan individuals, including quite a number of playful young ones. We also were surrounded by a group of long tail macaques, which did not mind... More

Together with 3 friends of me, we did the three days jungletrek. We saw a lot of orangutan's and the experience of sleeping and eating in the jungle was fantastic. You have to ask Lely and Jimmy for your guides because they know everything about the jungle and we had a lot of fun with them playing indonesian games in... More

We did a 5 day package and we would highly recommend these guys to anyone that will listen! Right from the start Clare was amazing; answering all our questions and putting together the perfect itinerary for us. The guides and drivers that we had were amazing. Helpful, supportive, understanding, knowledgeable and willing to give details on subjects that we were... More

Our available time and dates in Nth Sumatra were not flexible so we really appreciated Clare's readiness to put together a stand alone trip which gave us an excellent itinerary. The highlight of the time in Berastagi was the the climb up Sibayak volcano. It was amazing. Our time at Lake Toba was wonderful - highlights being a visit to... More

Having experienced and caring guides made this one of the best experiences of my life. When I first arrived in Indonesia I didn’t know what to expect, I was alone, on the other side of the world, and I am by no means a fitness fanatic. The terror of what I was about to undertake was suddenly dawning on me.... More

Thanks to Clare, from Expedition Jungle, for arranging a perfect 5 day trip for us in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra. From the moment we arrived in Medan, we were extremely well looked after by the local guides and drivers. We had a great experience because we were well prepared and experienced fit hikers. Trek information was a bit lacking as to what to expect (in regards to fitness required, terrain, conditions, water supply, medical emergencies). Fitness level: none of us had any idea how tough or easy this trek would be, based on the information provided. Although the actual... More

We had a trekking in the Jungle and we visited Tangkahan. The organisation was excellent and the local guides were very professional and supporting us during all time long. The cuisine during the trekking was excellent and the places we visited very amazing.

We did the 8 day Aceh to Bukit Lawang Trek. From the beginning Clare's communication was prompt and very helpful. The guide and porters were great and very attentive when it was needed for the trickier river crossings. The trek starts with a homestay in a small Cacao growing village and then goes through pristine rainforest right until the last... More
