If you stay on the motorway, as we have done so many times, you completely miss out this majestic gem. Everything about this village is magical. We are actually thinking about making it our base next time instead of weekend city breaks as it has...More

With a hidden gem....Visit the wine shop! Lovely cobbled streets of the old village center, some beautiful old architecture, a mixture of Italianate renaissance and wooden mountain architecture houses. Lovely little alleyways coffee shops and restaurants. We nearly missed a visit simply because not much...More

Very clean city with kind merchants. Walkable but don't trust drivers to stop at crosswalks. Locals very helpful with directions. Great food prices compared to Switzerland!

Stayed here for two nights on our way to Switzerland. We visited Monte Calvario, which I highly recommend to Catholic visitors. We also wandered around some of the small villages, took a dip in the river and relaxed in Piazza Mercato. Nice town for a...More

People tend to just see Domodossola from the train, and think it a boring place. But venture out into the village and find the Old Town - it is a fantastic experience of well-kept medieval houses, little alleys, small cafes and gelaterias. Finish the explorations...More

This cute little ice cream parlor sits tucked away on one of the many little side streets (via giambattista paletta) in Domadosala. We went there on purpose since it has a varied and unique selection made from only the best and freshest ingredients - sourced...More

There is not an awful lot to see and do here but there are some pleasant squares and narrow lanes in the town centre. Stunning scenery around. Numerous places to eat and drink for reasonable money. If you have time, some... More
