The room was spacious, clean and modern. The queen size bed was super comfortable and big enough for 2 people. The view from the bedroom was awesome.
The bathroom was clean and the shower has good water pressure. The kitchen is well equipped.
There is secure off street parking and that is very nice. It is close to a supermarket, but a bit of a walk to the center of town.
It has a nice balcony with comfortable chairs, if you want to have a drink before going out.
Host is very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

I had a pleasant day walking around El Bosque Tallado. Firstly, to get there from town, take a remise/taxi to the bottom of the start of the trail (should cost 130 pesos). Hike up a rocky road for about two hours, and then you'll get to the car park. From there, it's another kilometre to El Bosque Tallado. I personally looked and appreciated the carved sculptures. They are carved out of burnt and fallen tree trunks. This time of year, there was lots of snow which made it spectacular. I went on Sunday so it was free. Luther days you have to pay. I think it's about 200 pesos though I don't remember exactly. You can spend an hour or two walking around and looking at the sculptures and view. On the way back, I hitched a ride back to town (hitchhiking is common in Argentina).

The drive up from El Bolson is on a narrow gravel road. It’s slow going, 1st or 2nd gear all the way. It took us about 40 min to drive up in a rental car to the parking lot. Once there you have a 1 km hike up a pretty steep path. The views are spectacular but it took a while with plenty of pauses for this pair of older folks (around 30 min for us).
Once you reach the concession area it’s pretty flat and an easy walk around the sculptures. I enjoyed our afternoon and recommend it, but it’s a big time commitment.

Was pretty hesitant to continue about 55% of the way up. It’s not far, but very steep and I was concerned about the return. But, after deciding to push on we were so happy we did. It’s a very cool and unique experience in the park! The views are magnificent and the sculptures are terrific. The descent wasn’t slippery and went fine. The gravel road in and out is a real pain, but, consistent with our experiences over the last 2+ weeks in Chile & Argentina.

Mountains and forest come together with these wonderful wood sculptures. Well worth the rough gravel road and somewhat steep hiking. Then venture further uphill to the refugio for a nice snack and refreshments. Beautiful views and variety of sculptures seem to change with each turn of the trail.

Lovely hike at sunset, especially up to the Refugio. It's a shame it's only accessible by car or an expensive taxi ride.

The sculptures are very creative and all are very different from each other. Lovely thing to do in a half day in El Bolson.

One can drive up to a parking platform or hike to the platform from town. Then in about a steep 20 minute walk, the sculpture park reveals itself. It is an amazing and surprising find. The artists are inventive in taking advantage of the wood. Then one can hike up to the refugio for a nice snack and great view of the valley.

We had a rental car and drove up to the platform to start the hike. I'd highly recommend driving or catching a ride up that far...the walk prior up the gravel road doesn't look very exciting. We passed a couple of taxis on the way up so that's an option also. Starting the hike from the platform leaves about 1km to the sculptures and another 1/2 km to the Refugio. It's moderately steep but not bad. Great views from the Rufugio so I'd highly recommend going on up after enjoying the sculptures. The sculptures are cool and if you continue on up to the Refugio and the mirador it make for a great day trip!
