Moored up on the island as we could not get over to the pub. No access to anywhere, no facilities! Yet a little old man came and took £10 off us. When I asked what am I paying for? He offered to take our rubbish....More

We visited Ranworth Broad recently on a cold and windy day but decided to take the one hour boat trip. This was on a small motor boat, my husband and I were the only passengers and our guide and driver was a lady named Maria,...More

We cruised to this broad, and then looked round the church and went on the nature walk. We also went round the shop. The whole place is a little oasis on the broads, and well worth a visit.

After many years, have returned to see my favourite place. Not much has changed but has sparked wanting to come back by water!

A lovely church and if your dating there's 89 steps up, very steep and spiral, 2 ladders but an amazing view, must be fit! There's a little tea room that's has cakes and clean toilets nearby.

A well worth while water trail with Norfolk Wildlife Trust around Ranworth Broad. Trevor, our guide, was most informative and very helpful. We were a group of 7 including 2 young children and the 45 min tour was just an ideal length of time -...More

This is a beautiful, unspoilt location in the nature reserve. There's a floating information centre and shop at the end as well as boat trips varying in price and length. The walk is short, but great for people with pushchairs or wheelchairs. There's no toilet...More

Fantastic tour from the beautiful thatched nature centre, personalised tour and interesting conversation about ecology and wildlife from the inspiring Maria. Also climbed the church tower for the views and had cake at the church cafe. Great place to see otters, grebes and swallowtail butterflies,...More

What a fantastic day out seeing Ranworth broad via the NWT boat. The boat leader was very helpful, engaging the children looking for ducks, teal and tufted duck and the elusive otter! Loads to see and do. Kids can't wait to go back. Thank you

Yes on a lead not a problem

How long is the nature walk at Ranworth Broad from entrance to the centre hide?

Response from Paul R |
Its about 25 minutes slow amble. Not too far at all and all either road or boardwalk. If you're feeling adventurous you could get the boat there and walk back.

How long is the walk (one way). Is it suitable for elderly people who, while not being disabled would find a 2-mile walk without a rest, arduouis?

Response from Paul R |
Its mostly on boardwalk with a stop with a couple of benches half way. All flat and well worth it.
