Lepe is one of our favourite places. The beach is a mile long, you can walk on the pebbles but if mobility is an issue you can walk on a more friendly surface above the beach, The views are great of the Isle of Wight, the entrance to the Beaulieu River and the entrance to Southampton Water. As well as... More

Joined a group to have a guided tour around Lepe to learn about the wildlife and enjoy a rare visit to the National Nature Reserve guided by Chris (Lepe Ranger) and Ian (Natural England Ranger). Wonderful experience to see the beauty surrounding us, see wildlife, learn about all the work in hand for conservancy and see and learn a little... More

A pleasant morning spent walking at Lepe Country park, particularly following the "D-Day at Lepe" Leaflet, documenting the layout of the construction site for components of the prefabricated "Mulberry" floating harbour. The new memorial to the Royal Dragoon Guards at the site, who crewed the "swimming" DD Sherman tanks that embarked from here bound for Normandy, is a fitting tribute... More

Hello, Many thanks for your positive review of Lepe Country Park; we are so pleased to hear you found Lepe's unique history fascinating - did you also know we have our very own cold war monitoring post on the cliff top that was manned by the Royal Observer Corps! As to the additional signage, thank you for the suggestion, this... More

Great to walk along the beach, or for the kids to play in the play ground. Turn left from the car park and walk to the sites of the D-day landings prep - its very interesting and it took us many years of living nearby before we discovered it.

We came to see the views, however the minimum stay in the car park costs over £2 at all times. Be aware that the parking gate is locked at 7pm. Got some good pictures and although it was windy it was still quite warm, with lots of people there. Ideal for kite surfers and the cafe has seating outside on... More

Today I enjoyed a nice afternoon at lepe with my family. We had a good walk along the beach to stretch our legs, ate our picnic then had coffee from the cafe. Lepe is dog friendly and there are toilet facilities . Would like there to be more benches nearer the beach.

Hello, Many thanks for your positive review of Lepe Country Park; we are so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed your visit and all the facilities Lepe has to offer!
