There is a few stairs but they aren't to big or to steep. It's defiantly worth going a little bit early so you can stop and enjoy the view as you go up. It can get a little bit crowded but there is more than enough space on the hill to find your own little space if you don't mind... More

We cam here by riding the Tricycle from our hotel. We climb the 700 plus steps up Mt Tapyas. The view of Corn Town and Coron Bay is breathtaking. I would suggest climbing Mt Tapyas in time for sunset.

We came to Mt. Tapyas on our first day in Coron. It's a hike going up 700+ stairs..our guide said 726, some says 735 others more...but definitely 700+steps ONE WAY...once you reach the very top you will see the cross and the breathtaking view of Coron. There is also a CORON sign (just like the Hollywood sign in LA). It... More

Don't rush. Tapyas is a real fitness test. If you hurry, you may find yourself short of breath before you reach the end of the first 100 steps. I think there are about 750 or so total, so gauge your desire to get to the top. Luckily, there places to sit and rest interspersed among the steps. The view at... More

Nothing really special. It takes about 20 min to go up. There are a few points on the way up where you can stop for a rest. Once up you can see the Coron letters (Hollywood style) and a big cross.

My friend and I started our more than 700-step uphill climb towards the top of Mt. Tapyas at around 5:30am. It took us around 30 minutes because of our occasional pauses. We were on time to welcome the majestic sunrise and then appreciate the 360-degree panorama of Coron and other surrounding islands. It was an unforgettable immersion with nature's radiant... More

A word of warning: the climb up Mt Tapyas is not for the faint-hearted! There are a lot of steps, which can be incredibly difficult under the heat of the sun, although the view is well worth it! I would recommend taking lots of water, and giving yourself plenty of time to ascend, especially if you want to make it... More

The hike was definitely not leisurely, but since my companion & I were fit it wasn't such a problem with some water breaks and rests in between. When you get to the top, it's a great view of Coron but make sure you go when the sun is about to set, that way you get a good view and it's... More
