So peaceful, and such a sight watching the birds go about their business. A good variety of birds to see with the marshes making a lovely backdrop. Well worth a visit

This place is well worth a quick visit, especially if you are in the area. It has lots of birds although they can be frustratingly had to see! It should interest anyone who likes natural places, with its extensive reed-beds and vegetation. On our visit in late may we saw little egrets, stonechats and a linnet among other species.

Scenic rspb site with a wide range of possible bird sightings. Easy to walk round and spot birdlife - even on a very blustery May morning we noted several egrets, herons, mallard, swifts and martins. Quite exposed when the weather turns (which it did!) and no hides etc to take shelter in. On the whole good free location to get... More

Arrived at dusk in the hope of seeing a murmuration of starlings over the marshes. Conditions were perfect: a beautifully calm evening with a perfect sunset over Newlyn. ~The starlings started to arrive in small flocks at about 5.30 pm and finally roosted at 5.50 - a spectacular sight as they dropped out of the sky into their night roost.... A very quiet time of the year but the place is so peaceful and still plenty of wildlife to see. Well located with the beach on the other side of the road and close to marazion and St Michael's Mount.

Quite time of year but there is plenty to see. Good for walking and on the St Micheal's way. Would be a good spot to sit and relax while looking at the wildlife.

We visited near evening time, and it was beautiful. Very serene, pledasant walk. Didn't see any bitterns though!

The marsh is not the biggest nature reserve around but it packs a lot of punch. Avocets, herons, rabbits, swans and a wide variety of small birds depending on the season. Only the width of the road from the beach which stretches from Marazion to Penzance it's a real haven. you also get some stunning sunsets around here too.
