Twenty- eight hectares to roam through with a reservation to dine at the 'one-hatter' was worth dedicating a special day during our alpine away. A mere 100 km separates the great metropolis and this silvane tree-change amphitheatre of colours. Autumn does take a lot of beating out here with the bright fire colours ablaze, the rich clay supplying the goods... More

We did the free garden tour, really informative, learnt a lot. Book in for lunch at the restaurant too, absolutely divine.

Ten of us travelled to Mount Tomah on Easter Saturday for a picnic lunch. Although the parking areas filled quickly, the gardens are large enough to absorb the crowds. Well laid paths with detailed maps makes it easy to find your way around. Free entry and car parking. Restaurant and coffee available.

The gardens are stunningly beautiful, the interpretation signage is a bit haphazard, but unfortunately after promising the kids a hot chocolate all day the cafe closed at least an hour before the gardens. The sad face on the 'sorry closed' sticker said it all really.

A pleasant stop during trip to Blue Mountains. Variety of different gardens, peaceful to walk through or to enjoy views from the terrace at the visitor centre.

My husband and I visited Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens on the Saturday Easter Public holiday. We arrived at 10.45am and at the time there was plenty of parking available and it wasn't very busy. The gardens are very tranquil and there are beautiful views of the Blue Mountains. The Gardens are perfect for families and couples as there are plenty... More

We go here quite a lot, it is such an oasis of calm. There is lots of parking, a cafe and toilets and then the most amazing scenery you can imagine. I can just sit for hours and look out over the mountains and I would do if I did not have 3 children who want to run and play... More

With conifers & alpine plants galore there's so much to admire in this mountain setting. The views are amazing & the garden is full of pathways & summer houses that provide a meandering... More
