The athmosphere is lovely. The house itself left as it was when Aino Sibelius lived here. Could even smell a hint of the cigars smoked by Jean inside the library. The area of Rantatie (Tuusula & Järvenpää) is one of the best sightseeing trips you...More

We visited mid October but unfortunately it closes for 6 months from October to 5th May. However there's a useful information board outside and you can see his house and sauna from the gate. A very atmospheric place.

Entry fee €6 car parking free and well worth the cost. It was the wife's idea to visit before we dropped off our hire car at Vantaa airport and what a great decision it was too. I admit to knowing little about the composer but...More

We found the house quite interesting but not very well maintained. I think you have to be excited about Sibelius to be interested in this place. The modern cafe / visitor centre is neat, though.

It is telling everything about J. Sibelius and it is made to their former house in Jarvenpaa. They have guided tours and good explanation of everything. Maintenance is good and you can feel the music in the house.

Although you can only see the ground floor rooms they are full of original items. You can also walk around the grounds and see his sauna and grave.

Maintained perfectly at original condition, how the house was 1969 when Aino Sibelius passed away. An exellent guidance, too. Don't forget to visit Kahvila Aulis, for a yummy café moment!
