The week day opening times as advertised are not those currently in place - it’s only open the first and last Saturdays of the month at present. I looked at the website and noticed there’s a monthly organised tour of the adjacent defunct air base - you need to book in advance and supply personal details as requested. I joined the October visit and although it was quite interesting, you need to have a better grasp of Spanish than I do in order to understand what is being described. This was the first Spanish sea plane centre and a major Republican base during the Civil War. However, with the expansion of nearby San Javier as an Air Force base it became more of an administrative centre and latterly a training area for urban warfare and similar activity until permanently closed a few years ago. With the loss of base staff and the revenue generated for local businesses, the surrounding area has declined and become scruffy.
The museum located across the road is small, with models and information mainly about the seaplane and Civil War periods. There’s an interesting film show and some of the information panels have English text. The base tour lasts for around 2hrs and I would probably allocate no more than 40mins to visit the museum.

Interesting insight into the military history of Los Alcazares. Limited exhibits but well worth a visit.

Not a great deal there but, if you are passing or in the area, definitely worth half an hour. It's mainly photographs and models.

In this small museum you will experience both the Spanish military aviation history and the local aviation history in Los Alcazares. Do not expect a huge museum, this is a small but well-functioning museum worth an hour's visit.

My four year old great-grandson loves aircraft, and enjoyed a half-hour visit. Nothing in other than Spanish, but you do not need to be fluent to read the captions, see the models, or watch the videos.
A glimpse into a different time, albeit now an uncomfortable part of Spain's past.
